ASG provides daily line maintenance and defect rectification support under a contract with Blue Islands to their ATR 72 aircraft operating to and from Guernsey. This week, ASG was able to respond to an additional requirement for a propeller bulkhead replacement. This involved removing the propeller, installing a new bulkhead, refitting the propeller and conducting engine set-up at ASG’s premises in Guernsey.
Gary Philips, ASG’s Engineering Manager, said: “This was an interesting operation on a larger aircraft than we normally see in our hangarage facilities. I was pleased that our professional team of engineers responded so positively to meet the Blue Islands request. We look forward to conducting more work of this nature in the future.”
